Rotary Moment
Last year we had a great year for adding members, thanks to the organizational efforts of Marion Webb and his team. Now, in order to get the new members up to speed with the history and accomplishments of the club, we decided to educate them by allowing them to hear first hand what inspired each senior members to strive to do the things they did for the community and the world. These examples of "Service above Self" is an inspiration for us all to get deeper involved.
This year, one of our club goals is to educate the new club members as to the accomplishments of the club over the past 26 years. We decided to achieve this by focusing our "Rotary Moment" on the accomplishments and History of our club rather than the history and accomplishments of Rotary International.
Rotary Moment #1- "Field of Hope"
Presented by Jim Daughtry:
Jim Daughtry spoke about his involvement with disabled children and the organizations where he got his inspiration that ultimately led him to be involved with The Field of Hope. Jim's accomplishments in this area certainly reflect the Rotarian motto "Service above Self". Thank You Jim.
